Drip Campaign

A marketing communications strategy that sends or “drips” messages to prospects overtime. Prospects are usually communicated with through email.

The email messages are typically automated, and often segmented, based on specific user behaviors. They’re also generally delivered on a pre-scheduled basis.

You can think of a “drip” campaign like a coffee machine brewing quality java. The goods slowly and consistently appear until, viola, you have a great cup of coffee — or converted customer.
