Delivra, an email marketing automation platform – that ensures the right message gets to the right readers at the right time – conducted this savvy study in-house, on their site.


Background & Testing Goal:

The testing team wanted to know if adding a privacy guarantee, directly below the sign-up button, would give assurance, increasing sign-ups to their free email marketing guide.

Or, conversely, would create hesitation, prompting people to question their privacy on the site.


Hypothesis:

The team suspected adding the privacy guarantee would reassure readers the sign-up process was secure, driving more form submissions.

However, the team considered that adding extra copy under the main CTA could be distracting, or prompt questions about privacy, resulting in fewer conversions.
